Aubrey Peeples
Aubrey Peeples has been an American actor and singer for over 20 years. She was awarded the best actress award for her performance in Nashville in the 2012 drama in which she played Layla Grant. She also was awarded the prize in Sharknado 2013, where she was Claudia Shepard. In addition, she played the leading part of Jerrica Jem Benton on the feature film Jem and the Holograms (2015). Aubrey Peeples, the child of Wendy Peeples and Ashley Peeples, grew up on Lake Mary Florida. She is the older sister of Ally. When she was growing up, Aubrey performed with the Orlando Repertory Theatre for ten years. She was the valedictory speech of her class in Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University was willing to accept her. She declined the invitation twice. The second time it was due to the fact that she wanted to perform in Nashville. Peeples appeared in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and had an recurring role on Necessary Roughness (1991). She was in the made-for television movies Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective (2009) and The Good Mother. She was a major player in the Nashville series, where she appeared as Layla Grant. Peeples disclosed that she suffers from bipolar disorder during an interview in the spring of 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire listed Peeples in September 2014 as one of America's best young actors.
